Emma reflects on attending NCT classes during her 1st pregnancy, on Gina Ford and her parenting book and on her experiences of Daisy Birthing® with Nicky Woodhatch, our Guildford teacher.

Uju has already created a real buzz and following on the Lazy Daisy® site with her sparky posts (such as Is Parenthood the Death of Cool?) as she writes and reflects on life as a mum to two boys!

We knew therefore, that her interview with our resident presenter and fellow mum Sophie would be really fun and it does not disappoint!

In this interview you will hear Uju talk about cool parents, the need for a sense of humour, the support she received post baby and about her own birth.

And her family anthem - it brought a lump to our throats as we revisited a poignant and super cool track!

What is it about Gwyneth Paltrow that sticks in the throat?

Is it the Renaissance woman smugness: Oscar winner! Earth mama! Lifestyle guru! Domestic goddess!  The glacial, prom queen sheen?

Or are we ever so slightly jealous that at 40 with two kids she's gone from macrobiotic string bean to uber hottie with the likes of Madonna and Beyonce on speed dial?

Whatever it is, she sure can grate (why of course, she's got her own cookbook!).  Now she's managed to whip both the right wing press and lefty elements of the blogosphere into a veritable soufflé.

Yep Folks - It's Official

I have tw-innitus.  Now for those of you who know me well and are panicking (especially my husband), no I am not expecting 2 babies at once. I totally agree with 5 children already that would be fool hardy.

The condition I have however is just as serious.  Similar to tinnitus which some of you may know results in a ringing in the ears which just can't be ignored, tw-innitis suffers are subject to a repetitive 'ba-ding' or similar in the ear, all through the day (and sometimes night) which just cannot be ignored, try as they might!  Almost like an itch which has to be scratched!  I refer of course to my twitter stream updating.

Highly infectious and definitely viral, tw-innitus has taken hold and I am now an addict.  For my poor long suffering husband it is definitely a case of you me and twitter makes three and we all know three's a crowd (especially when that 3rd person is actually hundreds of people!) And that's without adding in the 5 kids at home.
