Daisy Birthing® classse are a wonderful way to make new friends....

And to meet likeminded people, without the pressure some mums experience when attending new social situations! Our classes allow you to ease into this new community gently - no awkward ice breakers, no 'get to know each other' games to play. Just a chance to focus on how you feel (body and mind) whilst gently integrating into a lovely birthing bubble of mummies who all want to feel positive about their upcoming birth!

During classes we focus very much on a time to learn and relax together, but when the class finishes, our emphasis is very much on sense of community and on peer to peer support. One of our favourite ways to do this is through our unique Daisy Book Club™ :-

About Daisy Book Club™

A chance to meet people
The opportunity to spend more time with your Daisy Birthing course leader and benefit from her birth knowledge and training
A chance to listen to local visiting experts (Such as sleep therapists, lactation consultants and baby wearers)
A chance to understand, review and consider different parenting styles, techniques and approaches. Daisy Birthing® prepares you for your birth - Daisy Book Club, coupled with the support Daisy Baby gives post birth, prepares you for your 4th trimester

We don't tell you how (just like Daisy Birthing® - we aim to give you a tool kit to enable you to make the right choice for your family unit).

A 6 session club (led fortnightly over 12 weeks), to review & discuss 6 very different parenting titles

(Many sessions will be aimed at mums needing to bring tots and toddlers; Birth partners and grandparents are welcome.

This is a unique way to socialise and learn about varying parenting techniques as you chat with fellow mums to be!

Each session the group enjoy reviewing a carefully selected parenting title (guided by their resident Daisy teacher) and is given the opportunity to keep a record of the bits they like best in their own beautifull Lazy Daisy pregnancy journal (this can be purchased on line shortly) or bring along your own baby diary. Quite simply this is a chance to create your own parenting bible, so that it is ready for all scenarios once baby arrives.

Every Baby Is Different ......

Lazy Daisy knows and fully supports the fact that every baby is different and every baby needs an adaptable and individual approach. And that every mum needs to feel free to make her own decisions, free of judgement and guilt!

By helping you to appreciate what research and parenting advice is out there already, written by some of the UK's leading parenting authors, and share thoughts and feelings with your peers and new found friends, you can begin to build your own baby bible!

Our Current Book Club Titles

We review everything from parenting led titles through to routine based practises, with special titles focused on 'baby proofing' your relationship, co-sleeping and methods of feeding. Your Daisy Birthing® mentor will guide you through the highs and lows and key points of each title, enabling you to decide whether this is a book you want to go and source to have in your at-home library.

Visiting experts and former Daisy Birthing® mums, will enhance each fortnightly session, giving you further insight into parenting styles, services and tips available.
