Our Fantastic Daisy Birthing Mentors

Only One Week after Their Practical Training .....

.... and already our girls are out gaining experience and beginning to earn their Daisy Birthing salary, as they take mums through their case study classes.  Both our Darlington and our Hartlepool teachers start with a fantastic 16 mums each enrolled (and more requests coming in thick and fast).  They are all feeling slightly nervous but we know they will do fantastically -  they know their stuff, that's why the training is so in depth and whilst they dreaded the 'during course' exams and practicals, I am sure they are all so glad they had to do these before going live!

Here is what just two of them had to say:

"Well have just taught my first class! I was a little nervous but I don't think it was noticed. One lady came up to me afterwards and said she'd found the 'perfect class' and wished she could come along every night!  She went away armed with some leaflets to give to all her pregnant friends! I felt shattered afterwards but I'm now thinking about my second class tomorrow night. It was funny to have to think a bit more about timings (as mums kept wanting to ask questions!) but I didn't have any contraindications so that made things a little easier. I REALLY enjoyed doing the relaxation at the end!"   Amanda, Yorkshire

"Well ladies I did my first class! It went really well.  I was a tad nervous at first but once I got my flow I was OK. My introductions took a while as a big group + I had so many different ailments! So my class overran but the venue were fine thankfully!  I forgot to mention a couple of things (nothing major) but still packed in a lot of other info whilst we were doing our movements.  Hope that makes you all feel better cause if I can do it, you all can too!

In recent weeks, I have had total confidence that there is a market for Lazy Daisy. I have got 11 mums now for my Saturday class, and am considering putting another Darlington one on as I still have enquiries pending and will be gutted if I have to turn mums away!. I also have 3 on a list for my March class. It just takes a little bit of time to get the awareness out there.  All I keep thinking is how lucky I am to do a job where I can wear casual clothes, I listen to chilled out music and I'm helping mums to give birth confidently! What more can a Lazy Daisy teacher ask for! "  Yvonnne, Darlington
