August has certainly been a busy month here at the Lazy Daisy antenatal teacher training centre!  We were expecting to enjoy the sun and some time off, following a really intensive (but amazing) July training course and a full complement of teachers in training ready to come into October 2011 training.  Not so however, as a further 10 trainee teachers have enrolled in just 10 days!

We are delighted to now welcome former Daisy Birthing® mum Vicki, who attended weekly antenatal and active birth classes with Daisy Birthing® teacher Gemma in Brighton & Hove.  Vicki loved what she learned in her weekly antenatal sessions so much and felt they gave her such birth confidence ... and a 4 hour natural labour using only the Daisy Birthing® birth breathing and relaxation techniques .... that she decided to join herself and launch relaxed - active birth and antenatal classes and workshops in Worthing and Goring-By Sea.

Similarly Rebecca in Sunderland, is currently attending Daisy Birthing® sessions in Durham with local teacher Vicky.  She loves her  movement based birth sessions so much that she will be opening Daisy Birthing® antenatal classes throughout the SR postcode area Sunderland and Peterlee!

Both new antenatal teachers will be training with us ready to launch classes in their respective areas in March-April 2012.  In the meantime, don't forget you may find a relatively local teacher in the FIND US section of our site, whom even if too far away for weekly sessions, will often run intensive workshops.  In addition our antenatal i-phone app which launches in September this year, is a great way to begin to work on your birth and labour practise!

Hot Off The Press:

Welcome to Sally who will be increasing our already booming antenatal class presence in Yorkshire, with the addition of antenatal classes in Shipley and Bingley (Bradford).  This is a welcome addition to antenatal education in West Yorkshire!

We only have 5 spaces left for our Spring 2012 training classes and with an average of 5 new enquiries a day from mums keen to become antenatal teachers and run their own classes, just like Vicki in Worthing, Rebecca in Sunderland and Sally in Shipley, early registration is recommended!
