Warrington and North Cheshire benefit from having a team of two teachers in Lindsay and Ceri. Both Lindsay and Ceri are passionate about birth, and with three very different births between them, it is easy to see why.
Lindsay's first child was born in hospital and the experience of childbirth and motherhood gave her the motivation to train as a Daisy Birthing teacher: "I love teaching Daisy Birthing® and the techniques gave me the confidence to have my second child at home".
Ceri also had a home birth with her daughter Ffion and is keen to give other mothers the confidence to trust in their bodies: "Having had a wonderful birth experience with Ffion, it has really made me passionate about educating women to enjoy the birth process and to believe in themselves."
Warrington is such an exciting place for Mum's to be right now, it's not surprising that Daisy Birthing® is so popular here.
Our antenatal sessions run in 6-week blocks, with our active birth education being delivered as you move, to ensure it becomes really inherent within you. Mums enjoy the vibe of the sessions so much, many stay with us for 12 to 18 weeks, as like any movement programme the more you practise the more the benefit! Yes we run on a standard rolling 6 week programme but, the education subtly changes each term in response to the mums who are present! The movement in these sessions is so gentle, even mums suffering with SPD can join and our philosophy is to prepare body and mind for ALL birthing journeys; so even if you know you have to have a c-section delivery our classes can still bring great benefits for you during pregnancy and as part of the healing process.
Classes are 1hr 20minutes in duration and at just £9 per week, exceptional value.
This is the ideal continuation from our Daisy Birthing classes, although new parents are most welcome to join us too. The key here is the continuity provided by having the same teacher and being surrounded by mums you know. This continiuty is reinforced as our baby classes are led by the same inherent rhythm and pacing which becomes so familiar in Daisy Birthing (through our Silver Lake labour music). Now in baby classes, the pace is led by our beautiful baby backing track. An hour of music designed to guide parent and baby through a gentle flow of closing movement for mum, pelvic floor work, uncurling movements for baby, calming and soothing movements, white noise, social movement and relaxation. This is forth trimester education at it's best, helping you to understand how to switch on baby's calming reflex. Best suited for babies age 6 weeks to around 6 months (adjusted age if baby was premie).
We are considering bringing these classes to the area in the future.
