Testimonials
Emily says:
After a difficult birth with my first son I was looking for something that would help with my fears for giving birth a second time round. The Daisy Birthing yoga classes have been just what I needed. Louise is excellent and has taught me so much about breathing techniques and positions for labour. I feel much more informed and confident about giving birth again. Thank you Louise! I can't recommend these classes highly enough!
Karen says:
Honestly these sessions are a must for any new mum-to-be. I gave birth to my daughter Holly in March and these classes really helped prepare me for what to expect during labour, and gave me the tools to stay relaxed and focused throughout the birth. Louise is a great teacher, and helped make the classes reassuring and lots of fun. We also did a couples class which was great – really relaxed and friendly. Thanks Louise
Lucy says:
Whilst I have been enjoying my pregnancy, whenever I thought about actually having to give birth, it would send me into panic mode and I could feel the emotions taking over. I've been to three classes now and the way my mind has changed is quite surprising. I am rubbish with pain and I'm a real wimp but right now, I am genuinely looking forward to the birth. I am feeling really confident about it all and excited to cope because I believe that I will be absolutely fine (which is a massive difference to how I felt three weeks ago). If nothing else, the classes are a great way to relax and take time away from everyday life to just focus on you and your bump. I find the classes informative and really enjoyable so will definitely be signing up for the next term. Almost forget to mention Louise! : ) She is the teacher and is excellent in my opinion. Very friendly and welcoming so I was quick to feel at ease in the class. It is definitely worth considering even if this isn't your first child as information and recommendations are ever changing. This is an enjoyable way to keep informed and have some 'me' time whilst also preparing yourself for an 'easy' birth
Lizzie says:
I absolutely loved attending Lazy Daisy sessions each Sunday. I actually really miss them and the lovely people who did the classes at the same time as me. Louise is brilliant and really helps to reassure you! It was also a great learning experience and I certainly used the techniques shown during my own labour. I can't wait to go back during my next pregnancy - best money spent in a long time!
Kelly says:
"I did 2 terms of Lazy Daisy classes with Louise Russell in Heswall and also attended her couples workshop. Louise's classes were fantastic, I am jealous of the pregnant ladies starting their new term in January! She is a very supportive mentor and both my husband and I felt we gained much more from her than we did from our 'official' antenatal classes.
Oliver was overdue and rather than a home water birth, I ended up being induced and having a hospital birth. I contacted Louise the day before I was due to go to hospital as I was feeling rather nervous and she responded with a wonderfully positive e-mail giving me plenty of happy birth stories following an induction. Although I wasn't able to put everything from the classes into practice due to the nature of my labour and birth, the things I did use were immensely helpful. The midwives were commenting on how calm I was and how nice the atmosphere was in my room. I think they also liked the Lazy Daisy music!
I am already looking forward to attending Louise's classes again if we are lucky enough to have a second baby!!"

profile on the daisy babyâ„¢ teacher jessica
Welcome to New Teacher Jessica, a former Daisy Birthing mum, who inbetween the birth of her two children, Harry and Liam, went back to university and studied Early Years Education 0-5.
In Jessicas own words "I really enjoyed learning all about child development and how to help children reach their milestones in their individual ways. I am now an Early Years Professional who was looking for a way to put my new knowledge to good use. I am also training to be a pilates instructor.
Combining baby massage, yoga and postnatal fitness in one class will provide parents with an amazing foundation for their baby’s growth as well as nurturing parent and child bonding. When I was a first time mother I was very confused about what I was doing and had read many different books for help and assistance, which sometimes only confused the matter. What I found the most helpful was advice and support from other mothers. As a Daisy Birthing mum I can see how the birthing course will flow directly into the baby class".
