With around 12 births for every 1000 people in Cyprus per year, we are certainly not surprised to have already received enquiries both from professionals interested in teaching and mums living in Cyrpus keen to understand more about our weekly antenatal and couples active-birth class programme
Whilst water births and natural birthing facilities tend not to be common place in Cyprus, with most mums giving birth in hospital, our movement and relaxation based antenatal classes really seem to have struck a chord - perhaps because our techniques are suitable for all births and all birth environments and are about preparing the body in readiness for whatever path mum takes. And of course, every mum-to-be needs a space to enjoy relaxation!
It is possible to access some hospital provided traditional antenatal classes and also some private practioner pregnancy yoga classes in Cyprus, and with the popularity of both of these, there is a clear indicator of how mums to be will respond to a weekly antenatal class programme which allows for a more gentle movement routine specifically designed to support the pregnant body and to releive common pregnancy ailments (even suitable for mums with SPD or PGP) coupled with active birth and antenatal education, as mums move.
